I'm a freelance writer and editor. Previously, I worked as Eastern Europe editor at Berlin-based daily newspaper Tagesspiegel and as a news reporter at Reuters. In addition to economics and politics, I focus on cultural writing, especially in the fields of film, music, and fine arts.
Besides Reuters and Tagesspiegel, my work has appeared in Spiegel, Handelsblatt, n-ost, Liberal Magazin, Fletcher Forum, The Local, Floor Magazine, Sächsische Zeitung, Neos Magazine, Sagwas, politikorange, Varsity, Scene + Heard, and WNUR.
I've also worked as a fact-checker, verifying legal and historical accounts for a long-form piece by investigative magazine The Atavist on the
rise of neo-Nazism in Germany. I've also led several workshops on elections and politics for Jugendpresse Deutschland, a youth organization for aspiring journalists.
